Frida Kahlo was a Mexican painter. Frida Kahlo's work is characterized by cheerful colors, gripping and sometimes shocking subjects, a surreal atmosphere and influence from Mexican folk art. Kahlo has left 143 paintings, 55 of which are self-portraits showing a beautiful woman with full-blown eyebrows who also saw her clothing and jewelry as a way of expressing herself artistically.
